"I am not an orphan"

Apropos of this post on the meaning of 'orphan,' this poignant quote from one of the child victims in the Case of the Bungling Baptist Baby-Snatchers in Haiti:

"One (9-year-old) girl was crying, and saying, 'I am not an orphan. I still have my parents.' And she thought she was going on a summer camp or a boarding school or something like that," said George Willeit, a spokesman for the SOS Children's Village.

They can now tack on FALSE IMPRISONMENT AND KIDNAPPING to the child trafficking charges.

They want us to pray for them? I pray they grow brains and use them in the future.

So sad. Expected as there is always someone who is waiting to cash in or find a way to go around the law, but so sad.
