I'm guessing they won't handle it too sell, given the promos note an "African" adoptee. Those of us who have adopted a child from an African country are forever educating folks that Africa is a continent, not a country, and home to many diverse cultures.
oops, I meant handle it "too well." It's certainly designed "to sell."
Sharon, just yesterday I had to explain to my kids that "the drought in Africa" didn't mean that "no one can go to Africa" right now (somehow they got that out of something a teacher said at school).
But I wonder -- I might say someone is an "Asian adoptee" when I'm not sure which Asian country they were adopted from, especially if I didn't want to ask them "where are you from?"
