I know, I couldn't believe some of this stuff being sold in the toddler and age 6-12 sizes. Who buys this stuff?
I'm not surprised. But then, I'm not a huge fan of MOST of the costumes out there these days. Have you seen the "hick hottie" ones? Or the trashy cheerleader ones? They are all offensive - seems that even Halloween has to be infected with overt sexuality and perversion of what makes a woman truly beautiful. There's NO effort in the mainstream anymore to cherish and protect our kids' innocence (from stereotypes, from advanced sexual images, from violence, from any of the stuff that should be reserved for adults - if even then!). Why must we push so hard for our kids to grow up so early and so fast?!
This is = to the time someone told me their daughter (not adopted fm China) was going to be a Geisha Chinese girl - ummmmmm - 2 countries - that don't really like each other - do a little research --of course considering the source...I am not surprised...
