Angelina Jolie keeps quite the busy travel schedule. And though it's often for work, her current trip is in line with her desire to keep her three adopted children familiar with their roots. And according to US Weekly, as reported at a Vietnamese news site, the entire family will visit Pax's orphanage.
Her latest destination: Vietnam, where she was photographed with her son Pax, 7.
"We owe Vietnam a visit, because Pax is due," Jolie, 36, told the Financial Times in July, adding of her six children with Brad Pitt: "They are all learning about each other's cultures as well as being proud of their own. They all have their flags over their beds and their individual pride."
According to the photographer, the actress and Pax went out for lunch together in Ho Chi Minh City, and the rest of the Jolie-Pitt brood is along for the trip as well.
Pitt, 47, and Jolie adopted eldest son Maddox, 10, from Cambodia, Zahara, 6, from Ethiopia. Their daughter Shiloh, 5, was born in Namibia, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 3, in France.
Talking about adoption, birthparents, abandonment, race, and China with my kids. That's not all we talk about -- but reading this blog, you'll think it's all we do!!!!!

Taking Pax Back to Vietnam
From People:
OK that article is a little misleading at the end. Shiloh and the twins are theirs by birth, BUT were born in those places. They are not adopted. Also, for what it's worth, I've read that the twins both have downs syndrome. Not that it matters, but what are the odds of BOTH of them being born with downs syndrome? I will say this, for two beautiful people, they sure have gone out of their way to make sure beauty is not skin deep.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note- I have NO idea if that info is true about downs syndrome. When I look at pictures of them, they really do not have a downs syndrome look, perhaps that is just hype. Regardless, they do "talk the talk and walk the walk".
ReplyDeleteThe rumor that the twins have Downs comes from Star magazine - a tabloid. It has never been corroborated.
