She was talking about her fear of riding the bus home at night following the shooting of the black teenager in Florida. It really brought home to me that my brown-skinned child will live experiences that I will never have to face. How do I prepare her for this? And sadly, why do I have to? Why couldn't that teenager in Florida walk through his own neighborhood without being shot?B.A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12898260235916953802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-316191265933534655.post-13922522714779083262012-03-21T10:30:37.492-05:002012-03-21T10:30:37.492-05:00I think the question in some cases may be is it be...I think the question in some cases may be is it better to not be adopted or be adopted by parents of a different race. Unfortunately there are not always parents of the same race available to adopt. What do you do in that case? I am talking about the real world as it is today. In domestic adoption parents of the same are usually preferred but you do not always have that option.zhou.and.mchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03711803122054168160noreply@blogger.com
