Actually your assertations ...@ Research-China.Org,

Actually your assertations and data do not refect Russia, Columbia or Kazakhstan where there was no significant increase in adoptable children. In both Russia and Kaz. more regions with already established "Babyhouses" may have welcomed IA, thus giving the allusion more children were availible, but the adoptions themselves had no bearing on overall growth of said numbers. In fact the funds/donations coming from overseas PAP's improved the lives of those children remaining behind substantially.

Additionally having spent many years in Romania as a missionary I can tell you first hand the need still exists and the numbers of children in crisis has risen since they closed their doors to IA. Not declined.

The numbers they "report" only reflect those being cared for in an institutionalized setting, not those children homeless and on the streets who are not receiving care/support due to lack of funds.

I don't wish to get this off topic, but sweeping and inaccurate generalizations do a disservice to us all in a real dialogue.

Thank you,

ChrissannAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-316191265933534655.post-22600783026615791152011-07-28T09:52:07.876-05:002011-07-28T09:52:07.876-05:00The "orphan crisis" is exacerbated by th...The "orphan crisis" is exacerbated by the children brought into orphan status as a result of money, coercion, and other means. In every international adoption program (China, Vietnam, Nepal, Guatemala, Cambodia, Romania and the others) what began as a small program exploded in size as the gravity of money took hold. Eliminating the financial rewards of adoption should be the first step to resolving the "orphan crisis". Only then can we determine if the supply truly exceeds the demand.Research-China.Orghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09137919637778021754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-316191265933534655.post-32155790541124793072011-07-27T23:36:09.199-05:002011-07-27T23:36:09.199-05:00Hi, I enjoy reading your posts.
